Our Pastor
 Email To Friend    Print Version

Our Senior Pastor, Dwight Cenac, has a love and compassion for people. He and his wife Connie serve us faithfully.

Both the Episcopal Church and the Southern Baptist Church offered Dwight positions, respectively, as a senior priest and senior pastor but Dwight and Connie believed they were called by God to serve as pastors for a non-denominational charismatic Christ-Centered Bible-Believing Family-Church; and, so do the Board of Elders of Sanctuary where they serve.

Dwight and Connie believe we are all called to fully obey Jesus’ great commission to all of who believe:

Mark 16:15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem (local community), and in all Judea and Samaria (the nation), and to the ends of the earth (all nations)."

To this end, Dwight and Connie strive to guide us all into being servants of God. First to Jesus, second to our family, third in the workplace, fourth to our community, fifth to our nation, and then to the nations of the world. According to Dwight and Connie, God has called ALL OF US to be ministers in ALL of these areas – not just one or two.

Matt 22:37-40 Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'  This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

John 13:34-35 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

Some might say, “How can we ALL be ministers?” Our pastor says because ALL of us, who are believers in Christ, have been reconciled to God and we ALL have been given the ministry (ministers) of reconciliation:

2 Cor 5:17-20 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:  that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.

In addition to serving our local body here at Sanctuary, Dwight and Connie are actively involved in: speaking at ministerial conferences in the United States (U.S.) and abroad; hosting marriage seminars and conferences in the U.S.; and, going on mission outreaches to Africa, Mexico, Holland, Venezuela, Honduras, China, the Philippines, and wherever they are needed. Sanctuary fully supports our pastor to equip others and rests in God’s provision from anointed teachers when we send them out – of course we get them back quickly. Our Pastors believe we are to-Go and we to-Send, and so do we.

Connie has authored two published books: From Trials to Triumph (designed to help you overcome the tests, temptations, and trials of life) and From Rags to Royalty (designed to help you know and become who you are called to be in God’s Kingdom). Connie has also written two book series on: God’s Kingdom Principles and The Blame Factor. Dwight has written three biblically based book series: the first on Finances; second, on Breaking Strongholds in your life; and, third, How To Make And Execute Wise Decisions.

Connie and Dwight are committed to educating our children with the best education available (reading, writing, and arithmetic) and with a strong knowledge that we are children of God not an evolutionary accident. To this end, Dwight and Connie initially homeschooled their children and later founded Seacoast Christian Academy (with three campuses here in our community).

Connie and Dwight have five children: Marla, Rocky, Joi, Dwight II, and Josh (whom they adopted from China). Marla is married to Kevin Stremmel, Joi is married to Joel Troutt, and Rocky is married to Ceci Montero.

They also have two grand-children who have gone to be with Jesus (Brandon and Bradey) and seven living grand-children: Kelsey, Bryana, Hunter, Bryce, Abigail, Braylee, and Rocky II. Joi and Joel have announced that they will be adopting a child from Ethiopia so that will make a bountiful blessing of eight grand children and hopefully more to come.

Is this enough? Not hardly --- Dwight loves teaching the children on Wednesday night and Connie has several internet and radio outreaches for Women-Only and a blog for all to learn daily from (conniecenac.com)

By-the-way, neither Connie nor Dwight nor any of their family are compensated in any way from Sanctuary ... they want all of the tithes and offerings that are entrusted to Sanctuary to go into serving God’s kingdom.

IF you are looking for a church where Jesus is exalted and where all are encouraged and given a mission to do --- THEN, come and see for yourself and become part of our faith family.

As such, we are to become, first individually and then corporately, the living expression of the Name and Character of Jesus Christ, who is "the Stone the builders rejected" and who "has become the capstone." 1 Peter 2:7
